Why Tradesmen Lose Jobs In The First 5 Minutes
The lead didn't ghost you. You ghosted them. Here's the response window that decides who books the job on Long Island — and how to close it without hiring anyone.

Most tradesmen think they lose jobs on price. They don't. They lose them on silence.
The 5-minute rule
A homeowner submits a form at 9:42am. If a real reply hits their phone by 9:47am, you're the guy. If it hits at lunch, you're one of three quotes. If it hits tomorrow, you're the backup.
What "answered" actually means
Not a voicemail. Not "we'll call you back." A specific reply that references what they asked for and gives them a next step — a time, a link, or a question.
The fix isn't more hustle
It's a system. A form that texts you the second it fires. A pre-written first reply. A booking link that lets them pick a slot without a phone call. That's it. That's the whole difference between a slow week and a booked week.
